What is greatness? What jerseys do you wear? Where do you find your worth and identity? Join us on November 4th at 7:00pm at the Newman Catholic Student Center (or virtually through the Iowa Catholic YouTube) to get the answers to all of these questions! Fr. Chase Hilgenbrinck will be joining us to speak on the topic of faith and sports in his talk titled "Chasing the Dream: What is your Ultimate Goal?". Fr. Chase is a former professional soccer player and a current priest in the Diocese of Peoria. Students - you are also invited to join us to stay after his talk for Thursday Night Mass at 9:00pm, which Fr. Chase will be celebrating for us. This presentation is made possible through the generosity of the Rossi Center for Faith and Culture Endowment.

University of Iowa students - join the Newman Center for our fall retreat, "Revival"! The retreat will be held at Camp Wapsie from October 1st-3rd. The cost of the retreat is $40, which includes meals, snacks, and transportation.
"Revival" is defined as "a returning to life". After a year and a half experiencing college during a pandemic, we have all felt lonely and times. Although things are far from back to normal, the Newman Center has been much more lively, as students have classes back on campus this year. The goal of the retreat will be to revive the vibrant Catholic community that we once had, as well as to revive our faith lives that may have struggled during the pandemic.
